Report 1002 Perfromance

Hello,

I have problem with report 1002 (Post Inventory Cost to G/L). I don’t know why sometimes it work 15 min. sometimes 2 hours. It’s no matter no. of entries, because some times entries from 2 weeks work faster than one day. Rebuild and reorganize of index isn’t helpful .
Have any one some idea where should I start to find solution?
(We use Navision 4 Sp3 and database on SQL Server 2005, database 25 GB)

It depends on how much Item Ledger entries were adjusted in 1. job. If you post purchase invoice which has connections through many transfers to many sales documents, it can take some time to post all changes of the costs for all entries. Or you can check the performance of the server and client where the job is running.

Quick view: compare counts of created entries for the job in each day by comparing the numbers from G/L Registry. If there is big difference in the count, you know why...
