I try to sinchronize an user and an error apper telling something about time out expired. It doesn't happen always so I don'nt know what can produce this.

I recommend to upgrade (technical upgrade) to the NAV 4.00SP3 and switch to simple security mode. You will not have problems witht he synchronization process

Synchronizing locks tables. When you're locked too long, you'll get the timeout.
There is a whitepaper about this, and the security models where Kine is talking about. You can download it here.
