Sinchronize single login

I try to sinchronize an user and an error apper telling something about time out expired. It doesn't happen always so I don'nt know what can produce this.
Can someone help me, please? Thanks

    Try the following:
    Make sure the user is logged out of the system
    Make sure nobody is doing any posting of anything
    Perform synchronization
    NAV - Norton Anti Virus

    ERP Consultant (not just Navision) & Navision challenger

    I recommend to upgrade (technical upgrade) to the NAV 4.00SP3 and switch to simple security mode. You will not have problems witht he synchronization process

    Synchronizing locks tables. When you're locked too long, you'll get the timeout.
