Default VAT Product Posting Group

Is it possible to default the VAT Product Posting Group from the Customer or the Vendor.

The customer or the Vendor is a major factor when determining Vat rates.


Please help!!! \:D/

    The VAT product posting group is assigned by the product not by the Custmer or Vendor.

    What you can assign by default in the Customer and Vendors is the VAT Business posting group.

    If this is not ok for you, please explain a little bit your needs.

    The Vat Rate for a sale or purchase should be determined by the combination of the VAT Bus PG against Cust/Vendor and VAT Prod PG.

    So if you have this combination setup correctly it should auto fill in the VAT rate as required.

    If you have more complex scenarios you may need to setup more posting combinations

    You can use Auto Insert Default in Gen. Business posting group table.
    Then you should check you VAT posting setup how VAT business and VAT product are combined and what VAT rates are used.
    You can't use diferent VAT rates for same Bus-Prod combination!
