The closed year does nothing practically except placing a check mark on the field [Closed] & [Date Locked].
Look at Codeunit "Fiscal Year-Close".
Unchecking these 2 fields should solve your problem.

If the period is closed the only impact on the GL Entry is that they are marked Prior Period Entry. You can go and open the closed year as mentioned in the earlier replies.
