Dear Gurus,

The following error is prompted when I tried to offset an Invoice against a credit note or when I try to offset a payment against an invoice and the remaining amount of both documents remains unaffected.

"The application was successfully posted though no entries have been applied"

please let me know if you know the root cause of this. Thanks in advance.

    It will be to do with the steps you are undertaking during the processing. I presume you can go into the ledgers and apply the payment against the invoice and post it to reduce the balances? If this is the case it is how you are processing. I have seen this before in certain circumstances depending upon where this was being done and the version.

    Did you set Apply Entry and Apply-to ID?
