facing problem at synchronize navision 5.0 with outlook

this problem is came when we are connecting with sqlserver on setting option in outllok
The connection to 'databaseName' microsoft dynamic dtabse failed.th program return ed the following error

the response from microsoft dynamic nav has not been received because of conection timeout.

Please help me how we can solve this issue.

is Navision Application Server up and running? (with OSYNCH parameter)

yes Application Server for Microsoft Dynamics NAV is running on the Navision server with starup parameter-OSYNCH. The name of application server is "ashishsql". Still the name error is coming. Can any one help me in this, i have been stucked in this issue since a long time.
