Hi,
I tried to use the cfront.net sample (with Microsoft.Navision.CFront.CFrontDotNet Version:5.0.24199.0)
from the Nav 5.0 CD in order to get access to a Navision database via cfront from an own program.
But now one of our customer (4.02 database, Cfront 5.0) receives different kinds of error reports whenever he connects
to the database via cfront.
According to Cfront I should also get access from a Cfront NAV 5.0 to a 4.02 database, shoudn’t I?
On the other hand - in a test environment it works exactly how i think it should (even with 4.02 database).
I use the Navision 4.02-Folder for the ClientPath-Parameter
And I’ve also checked the rights as well as the license.
Is Cfront backward compatible or am I mistaken?
thanks,
Ralf

What 4.02 version is the client running and what version are you using in your test environment?
Our Customer use a 4.02 Database with 4.02 Navisionclient.
In my test environment i use currently the same combination,
but i have also tried with Database 4.01 and 4.03. Always use the correct client version (4.01, 4.03) at the CFront.Clientpath-Parameter.
or one of the others?

I think one of the updates fixes a problem with c/front?
