It would be stuppid if it wasn't. It's marketing fluff for customers.
    my 2 cents

First, it wasn't because it was focused to partners... ;-)

Tell me something really good about RoleTailored client for NAV6...

You can install it in 45 seconds.

They don't show that it'll take longer to implement a change, to upgrade, to make a modification to forms.
    my 2 cents

Actually that will be quite simple too. You can make a change to a page in the page designer, save the object and it is published right away. You don't even have to close the client.

    oh realy.

No more telling ppl to log out and back in.
So they are not caching the pages? Or the service tier checks the time stamp and sends the new version to the client?

Does it reset the user settings for that form?

What about changing CU? same process?

If you are a consultant, you will need windows authenication to update the service tier?
    my 2 cents

AFAK it does cache but checks for new objects also

    Nope. No more zup misery.

    Dunno. Have to ask

Don't know either but I will find out.

You are not "updating" service tier, the service tier updates itself automatically based on some table in NAV (on SQL).

So the service tier is a self compiling service tier? Or is there another service that is monitoring and then creates a compilled dll file?

    Download is down.
I just tried to download it and it starts without problems. I didn't finish the download because it would take too long.
Has it problems while downloading or while starting?

it has problems downloading. I get page cannot be found error.

I tried the smaller files instead of the whole file. The whole file works, the smaller don't
