This is a very peculiar situation.
We need to sell items that are "not in the Item card".
That means, the item sold is created using (combining) few other items (like raw materials) from the Items master. We cannot exactly say what will be the final output as there is a possibility of "unlimited" products resulting from combination. The same item not created again.
Cost and Price will vary according to customer requirement.
How do we handle this type of situation in Navision 4.0 SP3?

No WIP but costing is involved. Specially, raw materials costing.
Also what version are you implementing this?
As far as final output that you don't know what it'll be, it doesn't matter. You can create an item called final output. and sell that to the client. Ofcourse you can change the description etc on sales order.
5.0 has kitting functionality. So you can use that. Otherwise you have to use Manufacturing.
