Mandatory Fields

In Nav 3.6A I am trying to instill mandatory fields on a form but if the user doesn't key on the field the notBlank does not trigger, if I do a test in the onbeforeputs and send a message this doesn't stop the system from progressing to the new record if the user decides to advance to the next record, the message appears but the next record is shown.

If I use the 'error' then the form closes.

I would like to set the focus to the field that requires the input and not progress till this is satified...

Hello Sadderson,

If you're dealing with Mandatory Fields, i would say: "Use a wizard"..

There are several examples in the default Dynamics NAV database..
