kitting and output costing

We have set up kitting as per the manuals. The issue we're experiencing is that when the "build kit" is checked to achieve the "instant production" concept, and the kit is sold via a sales order, the output entry in the value entry journal appears with a cost of zero, while the item ledger entries appear to be correct. The sales entry in the value ledger entries has the cost recorded correctly. This results in the Inventory Valuation report showing credit values on kits that have a zero QOH. Ideas????

My client is using kitting. I have noticed that kitting puts the cost under the Expected Cost field and not the cost field. Running Adj Cost does post the cost correctly. They do have the automatic cost posting turned on so the cost should have posted immediately.

Does anyone know of a way to make it post immediately?

Have you looked at SP1 and see if they have fixed it?
