Database Architecture

i am santhoshkumar ,i am newly appointed to the ERP . I want to know the DATABASE ARCHITECTURE in this Navision. How the data will Update in the many table for single insertion of the record into the MASTER TABLE. is there any generalised view for this DATABASE Synchronisation. I am Eager To know About this. Please Guide me ](*,)

1) NAV uses relation database structure
2) When inserting data into some table, the code in OnInsert can insert another records into another table. All depends on C/AL code written in the databse.
3) What do you mean by " is there any generalised view for this DATABASE Synchronisation"? I am not able to imagine something specific under that...
