I'm beginner and I don't know when I need functions I have to write it or call from somewhere.

In case it is a predefined function in navision then you need to call it, or else based on your requirement, write the function and then call it.

Welcome to Navision.
A very good place to start is by reading the application designers guide on the product CD. This will get you to the places you need.
Another great resource is the book

:!: TIP: Push Shift+F12 when you are in NAV. This will open the object designer.
