The Item already exists

This is the error message I'm receiving when attempting to create a new item fro mthe Item Detail Card. It shows: Identification fields and values: No.='7000015833'

Any thoughts?

Likely cause is your no. series got messed up,

open the number series for items, and make the last number used be 7000015833

some how it thinks the last number used was 7000015832 and so it is trying to use the next number.
