I am getting a error message from the Sharepoint site where I have a wep-part pointing to a report in Navision we have created earlier.
The error message sounds something like this (translated from norwegian)...
Access problem (2): Request type XX is not configurated for the user DOMAIN\USERNAME.
I have not been able to resolve this and as far as I can tell all the parts in Navision is set up correctly!
Someone with a solution or hints in the right direction?
/Andreas

Is your Webpart linked to a group?
You have to link the webpart to a access group so the user can access the webpart in Sharepoint.
I think this is too easy but..... ;-)

Godmorning David!
I have linked the web-part to the manually created group! But still the only thing I see is the error message.
I am continuing trouble shooting today, but one thing I realized late friday afternoon was that SQL 2005 and WSS 2.0 doesn't work that together - the WSS 2.0 don't like dotnet 2.0 and SQL 2005 Managment Studio want's that in order to work!!!

have you added the user to this group?
HTH,
Rainer
Yes I have added the user to the group! I still get the error message. I am going to try the Employee Portal 5.0 version and WSS 3.0 instead and see what happens

you have to add the user to the group where you have created the request.
So in general:
1.) You create the web request template
2.) You assign the template to a group in NAV
3.) You make sure that the windows user with whom you are logged on in SharePoint is existing in NAV as Employee Portal user
4.) You add the user to the group (see step 2)
5.) You open the web page and add the web part selecting the group and web request from step 2.

IHateLinux begun helping me with the NAS setup - thanks to him for that
Is there someone that can help me, that actually knows what to do with the Employee Portal configuration in Navision? I have followed the Microsoft publication "Microsoft Navision Employee Portal - Installation and Configuration" to the letter - but still doesn't get the web-part to work properly!
After I got it to work, NAS that is, I begun working the real project, getting access to a specific Navision table trough the WSS site (web-part). It is easy enough to get the pre-loaded templates to work, but to get a whole different table (and one that we have created on our own) on to the WSS site is not so easy!!!
All I get from my own setup is a "empty" web-part!
I have been trough all the settings back and forward, up and down and so on and so on...
Someone!
