can I use SMTP in NAV 5.0 without Outlook?

Hello,

I want to know if I may use SMTP codeunit in NAV5.0 without having MS Outlook installed (this is because my company works with Lotus Notes <-- a handicap in Navision).

I try to send an e-mail to a customer (clicking in the mail icon) in the NAV5.0 demonstration version but NAV5.0 demands MS Outlook

Thanks in advance
Nacho

    Hello Nacho,

Have you tried sending a mail with SMTP?
Sending a mail with "CU 400 SMTP Mail" is not related to Outlook and not related to the code of the mail icon/button on Customer Card (correct me if i'm wrong).

Before you use "CU 400 SMTP Mail" you need to setup a SMTP server on form "409 SMTP Mail Setup".
    Met vriendelijke groet, best regards,

You are not wrong ... you'll have to use CU400 ... and this also involves some redesign of the code... .

First, you'll have to install the SMTP option of you Lotus installation (I don't remember how it's called ... ).
