Hello,
I would like to change the displayed format of a date. The field I want to display has to have a format like dd/mm.
The original field has format dd/mm/yyyy.
In excel you can do something with Left / Right until / .
For example: 05/01/2004 has to become 05/01 I want to drop the year and the /

Hi,
Please check the FORMAT function and its use the appropriate sign to convert the date to any format you want or use the COPYSTR function to extract only the day and month.
Regards

Hi,
Try this:
FORMAT(varDate,0,'<Day>.<Month>');

To change only the displayed format..... it's very easy
Go on your form, on the field where the date is then go to Properties, Format and press F1 to know all the possibilities you can use. For instance <Weekday Text> <Day> <MonthText> <Year> to see a date like 'Monday 19 January 2004'
The date on the table will remain exactly the same as it was, it's only a form format wich change nothing on the table, it's very usefull to copy/paste on system with other date formats like AAAA-MM-DD.My candle burns by both ends, it will not last the night,
But oh my foes and oh my friends, it gives a lovely light0 -
<Day,2>/<Month,2>
