Hello frnds,
I got a scneraio where the end user specified the wrong unit of measure code on the purchase order. The UOM code should have been each but the user changed it to BOX and 1 box = 30 pcs so we basically should have 5 pcs in stock but now it showing as 150 pcs beacuse we purchased the stock in Box instead of EACH .
Please suggest me how should i now fix the stock as we physically got only 5 pcs not 150 and its showing we got 150 pcs We are using average costing for this item and we are using Nav3.70 and to add to the complexity then we sold 5 pcs as we had 5 pcs physically so its showing 145 . Now how can we fix the stock , cost on sales, purchase side and on the Item.
Cheers,

Namaste!
Create a Purchase Return Order on same vendor and
same location as of P.O
in return order line, select the Item, correct UOM and
excess qty. In App-to-Entry field select the Item ledger
entry created when P.O. is posted.
When you select the Appl-to-Entry, It means you reverse that
particular item ledger entry qty.
Note : Put same cost as of at the time of purchaseDarshan Mungekar

Hi Darshan,
Thnks for reply but i am preety sure creating a return order is not the solution. I would have created the return order if nothing was sold and everything wud have been fine but as i mentioned in my mail we sold 5 pcs after buying and then we bought another 10 pcs so the cost is wrong on those items.
Please suggest how can i fix the sales side and vendor side.

Namaste!
You can use revaluation journal to correct the wrongly
posted cost. First run the Adjust Cost Item Entries batch job.Darshan Mungekar
