Business Analytics Configurator Error in NAV 4.0 SP3

DDLDDL Member Posts: 41
Dear Friends,

I am working on configurating Microsoft Business Analytics.
I am not able to integrate Microsoft SQL Server 2005 with MS Dynamics Navision through BA Configurator. When I tried to Start the Configurator, the process is getting stopped at "Create Analysis Services Database" and an error message "Configurator has encountered a problem and needs to close" is getting displayed.

I would request you to help me in solving the above said problem.

Check the BA.log from configurator folder for more info. If you need more info, post the info from this log.

Have the user account under which you are running NAV enough permissions to create new DB on the server?

    Hi,

I want to know whether Business Analytics Advance works only when BA Basic runs successfully.

When I installed BA Basic, the BA Configurator runned successfully but a "Role" has not been created in the Analysis Services. Same time I installed BA Advance with all the necessary setups given in the Microsoft Business Analytics Technical White Paper and when i opened the BA Configurator and gave my server name in the Log on to field, an error message "Cannot connect to the Server "my server name". The Server is either not started or too busy" is displayed. I restarted the Analysis Server again and tried but the problem has not been rectified.

I would like anyone of you to tell me what the problem is.

    Thanks
