Rechedule operation in manufacturing

Hi all experts,

How do you automate updating delayed sales order? I searched forum but couldn't find relavent threads.

We have 3rd party supplier for some components who always delay their delivery. Thus the production order will be delayed. In our system, the corresponding transfer order and sales order will be delayed. I'm wondering if Navision can automate this change to upstream orders when the expected receipt date is changed on components PO.

If this is not possible as everyting is demand driven, how could we handle this? Is it something that we should manually work out the new shipment date on sales order and run planning worksheet?

Thanks for any input.

you are right..navision planning system is demand driven..so, you should manually change shipment date on sales order and you should run planning engine or manually update dates on prod orders, transfer order etc.
