Export to Excel from Employee Report

Hi
We have uploaded a NAV report on employee portal. Now the client wants the same report to be exported to excel from employee portal. When you right click on the EP report, there is an option "Click export to excel". But when you click that, its throwing an error "Invalid web part.....".
Is there anyway we can resolve it? My understanding is that, its a default functionality and it should work. Has anybody encountered this error and solved it. If yes, please let me know..
