Uninstalling Navision 3.60 client

I wonder if anybody came across a similar problem before. We upgraded a customer from 3.60 native to 4SP1 SQL. Their IT guy out of best intentions decided to uninstall 3.60 client on users' PCs (I understand running WinXP). Now when users try to do a search in Windows they get the error message “A file that is required to run search companion cannot be found. You may need to run setup” and if they try to print an email from Outlook they get a HTML script error. Reinstalling 3.60 client did not help.
Any ideas - anybody?

    Try to register the original MSXML.DLL in System folder of WIndows. This library is unregistered during uninstall and is source of problems when running mmc console. May be it is source of your problems too. (regsv32.exe msxml.dll)
