Hello

The company that i work has Navision Attain and right now we are using navision with its own database database.fdb if i am correct.
Is it better to move it to an SQL Database? cause although we have changed server (Proliant with 2 GB ram etc) it is still going slowly..

Plz Advice

    Please give more information:

    - Exact hardware of your server? (RAID, RAM, PROCESSOR, ...)
    - How many users?
    - How big is your database?
    - Is your Network OK?

How many users concurrently connect to you database?
How large is your existing database?

read the above thread from waldo. part of the navision hardware clearly states NEVER USE RAID5. It doesn't matter what type of database you use if your hardware is not set up correctly.

... you also have to keep in mine ... when using SQL Server, you need a bigger, faster server than when you're using native db.
