It works the same way, only into different tables. Make sure you take care of headers and lines correctly. If you are using dataports then you have to import all headers first, and then all lines. It is not easy to import headers and lines at the same time.

re-read the post but use this as a guide.

You can do it anyway you want. If you would rather have two dataports, one for the headers & one for the lines, that's fine.

the way we do it is have one dataport with two dataitems.
    1) sales Header 2) sales line.
*note no indentation (or) "linking of the tables!!!" won't work in dataports.

first we import all the headers.. (Example)
    Order #1 Cust #a1
    Order #2 Cust #a2
    Order #3 Cust #a3

then we import all the line data (Example)
    Order #1 Line1 Item 123 Qty1
    Order #1 Line2 Item 234 Qty1
    Order #2 Line1 Item 123 Qty1
    Order #2 Line2 Item 234 Qty1
    Order #3 Line1 Item 123 Qty1
    Order #3 Line2 Item 234 Qty1

    that's the basic principle!!
One way to test it is to enter an order and use the dataport to EXPORT that order into a text file and see how the data looks. That is how you need to make the datafile appear for IMPORTING too.
