Send A Mail From A Unique Address

I am generating a mail every time an action happens on the system and sending it to the customer. However i have it at the moment as whichever user causes that event to happen then the mail is sent from that user. Is it possible to generate the mail from a unique mail address so the customer always receives the mail from the same source.

If you use SMTP, you can set the From Address.
