Writing/Reading another MS SQL 2005 datbase through navision

I am using Nav 4 SP3 with MSSQL 2005.

Please advice me on how to read and write data from another MS SQL 2005 database through navision.

Search for ADO. Another way can be to define new view in your DB and create table with same name (do not forget that if DataPerCompany is yes that company name prefix will be added) and structure and set is as LinkedObject=yes. Search "LinkedObject" for more info.

I search the forum and found something about reading external database through ADO. But can I use ADO in also in writing?

yep. You'll need to write the sql INSERT statement in your command
