opening database

Hi all
Please help me its urgent when i m opening the database its showing me error that expand the database it doesnot have so much space u can resolve this problem by:
1).Expand the database

but the problem is i am not able to open the databse help me

SQL database or C/SIDE?

If it's a SQL database I'm sure there is some DBA utility that you can go into to manage the database. I don't deal with that stuff so I don't know what it would be.

If it's C/SIDE....well, do a better job of monitoring how the database is filling up Not much help, sorry.

1) Try to open just the database, not the company, and expand the database. In this case there are no writes into the DB and thus no cause for this error. Be sure, that no other users are in the DB.
2) Try to open the database in read-only mode (see documentation for how-to). Try expand (but I assume that you will be not able to expand it because the read-only). If you cannot expand, create backup and restore into new, bigger DB. Do not forget to split the DB into more files on spearate HDDs, set the size of the file as big as you can.

I think you cannot do this if you were SUPER at database user level
