Problem when posting a negative qty in the Output journal

Hi,
I have a client that is running NAV 4 SP3. In Manufacturing, they incorrectly posted a higher quantity in the Output journal and now want to decrease this value to the correct quantity.
In older versions, you simply post an output journal with a negative quantity and apply it to the original output quantity and post.
In this version(NAV 4 S3), when I post the journal, no value entries or item ledger entries get posted? Even when I change the status of the priduction order to finished.
Have you ever seen this before? One of our manufacturing consultants mentioned that he thinks it is a bug but I cannot find anything in the release notes for Version 5.
