Good morning,

somebody knows if the extended stored procedures are different for the two versions 5.00 - 4.00sp3 of SQL Server 2005?

I have installed a server SQL2005 with 4.00 sp3 never used and so deletable and I have to swich to 5.00.
I don't know if it is enought to restore a db backup of 5.00 or there are others important operations that must be done.

Thank you very much

Andy

I've had multiple versions using Windows authentication on the same SQL Server instance on my development computer though, so I think it should be ok. Just to be safe though I'd switch to the ones from the 5.0 product CD.

Same as Daniel. All versions seem to work, as long as you installed the latest xp_ndo.dll .

Afaik, the 5.0 and 4.0 are different. The file version of the DLL is 5.0.24199.0 ... so just install the new version.
