Starting Date in Production Order

Hi experts,
I have a sales order for 10 quantity of an item having shipment date on 280907. When i create a production order from sales order planning window then the staring and ending date time was 12/09/07 3:00:00 PM and 18/09/07 8:00:00 PM respectively. I have one machine center in action and it works 12 hrs a day and five days a week in one shift(8AM-8PM).
How does the starting and ending date time get populated in the production order line. How is the calculation done. Plz help
