Archiving of Jobs and Items

Hi Everybody,
We have got a client who uses a great number of Jobs. Still these jobs are used in a way that in one day a great number of jobs are opened and are closed. Thus we simply would not need that the jobs of two months ago for example to be outputted on the list. Is it possible to archive in some way or another these jobs - ideally a funcitonality which is in-built in Navision. It is quite easy to create another tables and create ourselves this sort of archiving but we would prefer if we use an in-built funcitonality to stay in-line with the Navision procedures. Ideally we would need the same thing for items which were previously used but which will be no longer used in the future.
