[solved]Problem with Windows Login

ta5ta5 Member Posts: 1,164
Hi
We have a problem when trying to login as a Windows user. The error-msg is:
"The following message came from the server."

Not much, isnt it? :)

Navision 5.0, Native DB, connection via DB-Server

Connection with DB Logins works without problems. Any ideas?

Thanks
Thomas

Just to be sure: are you using Windows 2000 or newer domain? (and not e.g. in mode of NT compatibility...)

Yes, Win2003 Server. Windows Login works with a 4.03 Server without problems.

I think there isn't enough info to give you a hint

Does it work with a 4.0 test database?

I've done the setup a few times for Navision 2.x to 4.x without problems. Only this one (5.0) does not work...

So, a database login works? are you using tcp?
  • ta5ta5 Member Posts: 1,164
Database login is ok, using tcp.

Are the stored procedures installed and the appropriate access rights assigned?
There are no bugs - only undocumented features.

It is on Native DB -> no Stored procedures... ;-)

    Oops:

    General Question:
How to setup windows logins with active directory groups?
  • ta5ta5 Member Posts: 1,164
    My question was misleading.
    New try:
