Slow Processing

We Have Navision 4.0(SP1) running at our client place

At starting till three months the processing was good the posting took reasonable time.

but for some reason, now it is taking 3-5 minutes to post a entry. i didnt getting what is the main problem ?

Any suggestions?

    Your problem makes me think you search a record in a table and there is no index for it.
    You can use the client monitoring tool to search for it.

    4.0 SP1 has a bug that there are no clustered indexes. Please check your database for clustered indexes.

    Well it was another problem I sorted it out

    In analysis view card I had unchecked the (Update on posting) coz for some reason i dont know what it is slowing the processing may be some customization causing that slowness..

    The Update on posting=TRUE is a real performance killer because it has a big index and the SIFT is maintained on each level.
