Locking from 4.00 to 4.00 SP3

Just moved to SP3 (both on SQL Server 2K) and getting lock messages pretty much on G/L Entry. I checked Row Locking and upped the timeout to 20 secs. What was the locking default for 4.00 vs SP3? It seems the users would rather wait some time than get the error. I guess I could up it even more.

You can put the locktimeout higher without problems. The only thing to consider is how long the user can wait without that anything is moving on the screen.
