Migration 2.00 to 5.00

Hi all,

Do you know if it's possible to migrate Navision 2.00 directly in 5.00 or I need to upgrade in 2 steps :
- first 2.00 in 4.00
- second 4.00 in 5.00

In this case (I think I must do the migration in 2 steps),do you know if I need to upgrade the objects and the data in 2 steps or just the data ?

Thanks by advance.

Regards, Gunther.

You should follow the upgrade scripts. I don't know them by heart, sorry.

Just download the upgrade toolkit from 5.0, then the upgrade toolkit of the version where the other toolkit ended ... end so on.

On top of the two data conversions, you will need to do 2 object merges too. The result of the first merge ( 2.0 -> 4.0) has to be used in the first upgrade process. Apart from the new objects in 5.0, some objects were removed, others are used differently. You have to finish the first upgrade process completely before you start the second one where you then import the results of the 4.0 -> 5.0 merge.

Sorry to disappoint you ... . An upgrade shouldn't be underestimated.
And to give you a tip:
Why not use "Upgrade Centers" like Celenia, Liberty Grove, ... ?

Well, I expect Tectura to have their own upgrade center real soon, isn't it
