    Use
    CurrDataport.FILENAME

    to retrieve the filename of the dataport.

    Hi,

    Thanks for this but I tried already this of course...

    In the OnAssistEdit() Trigger of the filename control in the Request Form and also in the OnPreDataport() Trigger...

    I can't understand why...perhaps a property...but I don't know where...

    Thanks

    You talk about "filename control in the Request Form" then i suppose that you not use the standard control...
    you must assign the FileName property.
    Dataport - OnAssistEdit()
    ocxCommonDialog.ShowSave;
    CurrDataport.FILENAME := ocxCommonDialog.FileName;

    Thanks but it doesn't work...

    I don't want to save any file and even if I say "No", the filename disappera in the the dialog box of the import process.

    well, it works for me in version 2.60 or 40SP3:
    OnPreDataport()
    message(CurrDataport.FILENAME);

    it def. works. Have u some other controls on the Requestion Card :?:

    If not, an there is only the default Contol for Filename (not visible by default) you can give out the filename on every Trigger, like on PostDataItem oder OnPostDataport

    message(CurrDaaport.Filename);
    Do you make it right, it works too!
