Text with unicode-, sub- and superscript characters

Hello@all,

does anybody have any good idea how to create the possibility to
1. users can enter text like
β→α+β or H2O with a subscripted 2
2. save the text in Navision
3. and export the text as an part of an xml-file (in this xml-file the text has to be formatted like html)

maybe it would be best to save the text as html like
β→α+β or H₂O
but without all the header information

does somebody has any good ideas or knows a tool which can be helpful solving this 'little' challenge so users can work comfortably
