Demand Planner 1.1 compatability with NAV 4 & 5

Demand planner 1.1 is not compatable with the NAV 5.0 client, and DP 2.0 for NAV5 is only supposed to be available later this year.
Has anyone installed Demand Planner in a mixed environment, with some clients running NAV 4.0 and others running NAV 5.0? My database is still the NAV 4 architecture. My clients are NAV5, and I want to begin implementation of DP as soon as possible. The only way I can think of doing it is with a NAV4 client for the DP work, and the rest of my clients running NAV5.
