Adjusting cost entries for single Item.

hi all,

is there any possibility to adjust cost entries of single item.

go through the synario.

i have to change the cost of one item's opening.
i have done it with revaluation journal.
but when we go for adjustment through
Adjust. cost item entries it starts the process for all items
and after some time of process it hangs
out. and after waiting for more than 8 hrs we have to end task.

so i want to run this process for only one item not for all
