We are running Navision on SQL 2005 on ESX and it's working perfect.
I've tried to find some customers but there aren't many using ESX with Navision. Even the statement from our NAV solution center was it's not a Microsoft product so it's not support. We just went on and besides it's working fine, you have a great playground as a sysadmin (snapshotting, resource allocation, etc...)
When DRS is active ESX will automatically load balance the VM's on different hosts.
The move of a VM from one host to another is done through VMotion and it's working perfect.
Again we are using SQL 2005 no native DB...I haven't test it with Native.
