Updating Twice

Hi,
I have a table through which I am accessing using two different forms.
1.Approving form:-either I approve or deny a service(field is option)then I post back to table A(approving form reads from table A)
2.Use a journal to view approved records from table A and then post them to a Ledger Entry Table B

Is this possible?..... :-s ......if not how can I achieve this? :-k
