hi

I did the follwng to upgrade my DB from 4.3 to 5.0

1.Made a new company in the Cronus Demo 5.0 DB called "Client" and dleted Cronus companies later.
2.Modified the 5.0 objects to have the same functionality as they do in 4.3 DB
3.Took the Backup of all these 5.0 Objects and Restored them into the 4.3 DB running on 5.0 Client
4.On the work sheet did the Replace All and Modified some names from the Old Version which gave a name conflict while importing

Now my object designer has both 4.3 and 5.0 objects

My question is did i miss any step ?Can i expect both my 4.3 and 5.0 functionality peacefully coexist?

experts please advice!
Regards,

GD

Before point 4, you should delete all objects (except tables off course because they have records in them).

BTW: I hope you are just testing it. Because MS has not released an upgradetoolkit yet for 5.00. So it can be dangerous to upgrade an existing DB to 5.00 because the data is not upgraded.

One more thing, if possible do che the version nos. of the objects, and the updated objects.
