Every index maintained as a SQL Index????

New (to us) Navision client with a 100 GB database approx 100 users and EVERY Key of EVERY table as a MaintainSQLIndex and MaintainSiftIndex. :shock:

They have a speed issue.... :whistle:

Just found this out now.

Maybe I can make it a little faster?

I commonly find this issue mostly in customers that are coming from native database.

Yes unfortunately that is the default setting. There are many postings about this issue on mibuso. In addition to tuning your keys on NAV you'll also need to have proper maintenance routines on SQL Server, to keep the database healthy. You can create those routines yourself, and there are also a few products for it. The product that I prefer provides for maintenance routines as well as analysis routines, specifically targeted at NAV databases.

I'm a bit concerned for you though, if you didn't find this out until after you installed your database on SQL Server, then more issues might have been missed. This is very common for NAV on SQL Server, and it should be adressed well before the implementation, and well before hardware is even purchased.
