Problem with export to Excel

Hi,

I have one more problem with the export to Excel from Navision 3.60. Sometimes when I run the export to Excel from GL, Anaysis by dimensions, I get the error message stating that the automation variable is not instantiated and the system stops. Next time it runs perfectly without a problem. I tried to check the codeunit 424 with the debugger, but everything seemes OK. The Custom controls have the necessary Office controls registered, so there should be no problem.

Pls. let me know if anyone knows how to solve this.

    could be way off here but just doing the best I can.


    It could be the excell component hasn't been cleared or closed after use. Or maybe due to an error this component can't be closed.

    The way to check this could be running the report (or what ever you run to get the stuff in excell) and open the taskmanager (Ctrl+Alt+Del).

    Goto processes and search for the process EXCEL.EXE, if it's there and either you don't have an excell sheet open or you already closed it, something is wrong and this process must be stoped.
