I have a customized LS Retail 4.20 NAV 4.0 version. Modified objects from this are to be merged to the LS Retail Nav SP3 local database. What are the steps i must follow? What shall we need? Any special conditions?

well you need to move your modification to sp3 objects.
make sure that the modifcation work in sp3.
Then load the sp3 objects with your modifcations into 4.0 database.0 -
I have a revised scenario as below:
We have database A at HO with standardized customizations. We have a regional database B at another country with localizations that is running live. Both the databases A & B are in NAV 4.0 SP3 version only. Modified objects from A are to be merged to B. I have following questions:
1. What has to be the approach for merging?
2. Is only the code of all objects usually merged?
3. Is there anything to do with the data at B?
Will reply back with more queries..

well you need to find the modification in each version and make decision
if they will work together in one db.
Then once you've merged them, you need to determine if the data (new table, new fields) need to be replicated or copied to both db.0 -
Thanks,
1. Can you please specify the steps to merging?
2. What tool should be used?
3. What will be the steps with Beyond Compare tool?
4. Is it preferable to use Dev toolkit or we shall use the comparison tool and do the merging manually?
