I had this problem too. It was a customer using NAV 5.0 with native DB server. After a bunch of tries importing the license through the client application I just changed the fin.flf file in Database Server manually.

It seems to be a bug in 5.0. It used to work perfectly in NAV 4.0 SP3.

When you start your Navision client it will use the Licence file on your workstation. When you connect to a server, the licence file form the server (in the same directory as fin.exe the fin.flf will be default) overrules the current licence file.
Place your client licence file as fin.flf on the server in the same dir. as the fin.exe

Ah, that's right... It is only when using SQL Server option that you can use the upload function from the client to update the licence on the server.
When using Native Database Server you don't have that option, right? ](*,)
