I am trying to find a quick easy way to open an external file from within navision attain....

Something like OPENFILE(path)

Where path is an absolute path to the file. OPENFILE should open the specified path with the associated windows application.

Seems simple, but I can't find an easy way to do it.

    Try HYPERLINK(Document Name)

    note that hyperlink automatically startes the application "linked" to the extansion of the file you want to open. Could be that on other pc's, with other applications installed, different programmas are used to open files.

    But most of the time, this is good. :wink:
