Report DataItem Integer

How is this used when designing a report, I often see it and understand that it is a virtual table contains a single value but dont understand the description of its use i.e.

By applying a filter to this virtual table, you can easily get a subset or range of numbers that can be used to control looping in reports.

Dont understand can anyone clarify this for me .

Thanks

It's only the simplest way to make an operation only once, or only once per parent record.

It's a way to create a controlled loop within a report. The most visible way that it is used is in the document reports such as sales invoice and documents like that. In there you'll see Integer dataitems called PageLoop and CopyLoop. The user enters how many copies of the invoice they want, and that determines how many times the CopyLoop iterates.

It's up to you to find other ways to use that
