    It's based on your license

    yes definitely!
It has to do with the type of license you are purchasing

That's not true. The information you're getting was a mis-quote by a journalist.

There were a couple of postings where some installations had 1000 users.

    TGU,

The best answer to your question is that you have to investigate this case by case. I worked in an environment with more than 500 users and saw environments where 10 users caused troubles.
So, there are lots of parameters which makes this answer.
    Some parameters are:
    - What are the users doing
    - Qty of transactions
    - Possibilities of webusers
    - customisation
    - SQL Server, NAV version
    - Hardware
    - Implementation

So you need to find this out together with an experienced partner.
But can you tell us some more on your story?

Alex Chow speak about configuration with 1000 users. But think it's named users (not simultaneous - in the same time).

I would like to be sur that NAVISION (Soft and IT archictecture) could support capacity with more than 250 concurrent users

Because i need to choose a solution for 1000 named users and 300 concurrent users.

    Thanks You for your advice.

Your concern was discussed on this thread:

The comment I was referencing was by p.williams where he had an installation with 1200 LICENSED users.

    TGU,
You are still speaking numbers... and like you see in previous threads that's not the most important parameter.

Tell us some more on what these users will be doing and what product are you also examening, what's important in your industry, which jobs can be done in batch at night time, ...

From a 1000 users environment to a 300 users environment is a significant difference...
