Hi,
Sorry for dummy questions if they seem so. I'm a newby here... :?
1) How and where can I get a demo app runing on MS SQL?
2) Can I acces Navision Attain database with ADO or ADO.NET?
3) What objects and procedures are required to write tailored front/back end intranet (web) solutions integrated with Navision Attain?
4) What are legal and/or technical constraints?
Thanks for any useful hints!

Simonas:
1.) I believe you need to contact your local Solution Center and ask them for a demo cd. This demo cd will contain the CRONUS database, and can be restored to a SQL Server so that you can start looking at the tables that are created within SQL. If you have not local Solution Center (which I believe you should) try contacting your local Microsoft rep.
2.) There is a CFRONT ocx that was designed for direct access to the Navision database, but I would recommend that you just utilize the SQL database. If the Navision SQL Server Option is used, you can utilize all of the current ADO and ADO.NET functions that work with SQL Server 2000. However, there are restrictions in how you place the data in the fields that are not transparently handled by SQL Server...
3.) If you are using SQL Server, you can design your front-end. If you are using the Navision option, you can choose from the Commerce Gateway, Commerce Portal, and User Portal (and some Biztalk integration). You can modify these if you understand the C/AL language and VB/ASP/Java.
4.) Legal = Contact your local solution center or MS Representative. I'm not a lawyer so I cannot give any good advice.
Technical = Usually there is a solution for everything. The only real limitations are those imposed by SQL Server and/or the Microsoft Navision client. Maybe some stuff at the OS level also, but I usually do not concentrate on this type of stuff. Everything is possible in my world!
I hope this helps a bit.
